Sounds like just the spot for my Tardis… Well, it’s as unassuming on the outside – and removed from the Oxford St hubbub, which is a god thing.
What’s the look on the inside? High ceilings, dark wooden floors, heaps of cosy retro seating and even hideaway booths with semi-sheer curtains for the ultimate private party.
The crowd… Eastern Suburbs locals, urbanites and Oxford St revellers, too.
What’s the vibe? Undeniably groovy, thanks to sounds that range from live percussion to soul to world beats.
If I fancy a nibble… The Mediterranean finger food menu has you covered, with everything from platters to pizza.
Can the bar staff muddle a lime? I’ll say. The cocktails here are legendary – try a Desperate Housewife, Boy Toy or Chinese Whisper.
Who to bring… Your posse – it’s a great spot for a party.
The low lighting makes you feel… Like an alien encounter wouldn’t be totally out of the question.
