Kells Kitchen

Kells Kitchen

The look: Sultry, warm, intimate yet inviting. The new cocktail lounge in trendy Darlinghurst has opulent gold ceilings, embellished wallpaper, heavy set curtains and an infinity fireplace.
The soundtrack: European lounge, jazz, smooth soul mixed with soulful tunes from Edith Piaf and Dusty Springfield.
Signature drink:
‘Meet Me in Marrakech’ is Ketel One Vodka mixed with date conserve, ginger and apple served in a chilled Boston glass ($15).
The wow factor:
The Absinthe fountain treats connoisseurs and the curious to the authentic Absinthe experience.
On the menu: Sharing? Order the International Cheese Selection ($17) with organic walnut and raisin sourdough bread. Ravenous? Devour the Tempura soft-shell crab with mango salad ($16).
The crowd:
A diverse of the style and fashion set. Creatives, business types and lovers mixing together on an intimate night out.
If this bar were a movie star it would be:
Johnny Depp – dark, modest and desirably bohemian.
