The look: This luxurious yet intimate cocktail lounge is located above Ravesi’s street-side corner. Created to look and feel like a spectacular beach home, there’s a kaleidoscope of rich brown interiors and a stunning aqua view.
The soundtrack: DJ’s spin a happy play-list of laid back beach tunes and remixed old school songs from Thursdays to Sundays.
Signature drink: A refreshing, Drift Royale cocktail ($24). Think fresh cucumber, mint juice, elderflower, and a healthy dose of Belvedere Pure vodka charged with French champagne.
Bar snacks: Try the entrée sized duck pancakes ($18) with shallot and hoi sin sauce and the steamed trout and ginger dumplings with tamarind ($16).
Best for: lying back on one of the six white leather day beds with some cool, local mates. This is the place in the Eastern suburbs when the DJ’s kick off from 3pm on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Wow factor: The iconic sunset view of Bondi beach.
If this bar were an animal it would be: a playful dolphin – sleek yet fun-loving.
