Bar None

The look: The kind of bar you might want if you were a James Bond villain, Bar None’s unremarkable doorway conceals a basement cocktail bunker. The interior aesthetic is simple and modern, featuring modular lounges and movie projectors.
The outside story: The smoking ban has inspired all sorts of novel solutions –  Bar None’s is an outdoor Tiki alley. Not quite a Polynesian paradise but there’s no shortage of premium rum.
To drink: The aforementioned spirit has made a big comeback and few places would have a better rum collection – detailed tasting notes aid the selection process. An acclaimed cocktail venue, Bar None’s staff can be trusted to surprise you with a historical concoction or a recent invention. Wine is not neglected and beer drinkers have around 50 reasons to be happy.
To eat: Sunday afternoons see the happy marriage of Belgian beer and bratwurst.
Best for: Fussy drinkers. If they can’t find something they want here, they won’t anywhere.
