The look: There’s a retro feel that you can’t quite pin down to a particular decade, maybe because Atticus Finch plays mix and match with its influences. A storm-trooper helmet sits behind the bar alongside vintage books and other quirky artefacts. In the wrong hands it would look like the result of a drunken night on eBay but here, it works.
The great outdoors: A reasonably sizable beer garden complete with pool table.
To drink: On tap, choose from a regularly updated roster of local boutique brews like Holgate and 3 Ravens, or peruse a couple of dozen artisan ales on the bottled list. The wine and cider selection is also thoughtfully crafted.
To eat: Deli inspired snacks such as the French cheese platter ($18) and duck terrine ($9.50).
Bar Soundtrack: Classics from Motown to the Clash.
Best for: A spot of hops worship. Maybe after dinner at Rumi which is handily positioned nearby.
